The 2017-18 School year brings new changes to the Schuylkill Haven Area High School Library. With ever-changing technology trends, the SHAHS Library is now home to its own charging station. What you may ask is that? Well, if your smartphone or device dies during the day, stop in the library and use the charging station to get you going again. It's free and accessible to all.

The SHAHS Library has also recently added 200+ new popular fiction titles to its collection, including a variety of best sellers, awards winners, and teen favorites. Come see the updated SHAHS Library and check some books out today!

OverDrive

If we don't have the book you are looking for in your library, check out Over Drive, a virtual library sponsored by your public library. OverDrive provides a variety of books that you can check out online and read on any device. All you need is a library card! Click on the OverDrive logo to check it out.

Research

Research can be done in various ways, but the SHAHS Library offers a wide variety of services to help students conduct research, including reference books, databases, pathfinders, etc. And don't forget, the librarian is always a good source for information and is always here to help! Access PA

Access PA is Pennsylvania’s Electronic Library, which provides students access to the collections and resources of libraries across the state. Access PA allows students to search every public, school, and academic libraries' holdings for materials. They may also loan print materials from PA libraries through the Interlibrary Loan program (ILL).

Power Library

Power Library provides students with access to a variety of electronic resources and databases that they otherwise would not have. These resources are not available except as subscription services.

Destiny

Destiny is our library's OPAC, or Online Public Access Catalog. It allows students, faculty, and staff to search the library through the internet to find out what books and materials are available. This catalog replaced the old card catalogs and is more convenient and user friendly. Click the Destiny logo above to check it out!
